Innovative Light Show
premium show for exhibitions
A trade fair show as a visitor magnet?
On behalf of Phocus Brand and Volker Hagen, we developed a trade fair show for the world market leader Rittal for the Hannover Messe. A show that attracts attention and fits seamlessly into the high-quality trade fair design: The Rittal show.
Wie inszeniert man Digitalisierung?
With the VX25, digitalization means that the customer can configure their cabinet digitally and it is then manufactured individually for them. The entire manufacturing process is digital. The result is an analog data cabinet.
We were therefore looking for a way to stage the abstract digitalization on the one hand and the physicality of the cabinet on the other.
We therefore decided on a hybrid solution. We used video interaction to present the digitalization.
In contrast, we were looking for a tangible solution for the data cabinet that allowed us to present the cabinet in real life.
Integrative design
The aim was to design a show that not only met the client’s requirements in terms of content, but also visually and qualitatively.
We designed the interactions between the light frame and video animation. Thanks to Elberfeld’s stylish abstract motion design, the result was a look that harmonized with the trade fair stand.

Staging innovation means being innovative.
We decided to use the rectangular shape of the cabinet as a lighting frame. Since such frames did not exist, we developed them especially for the show. The frames had to be wirelessly controllable and meet trade fair conditions in terms of reliability and robustness.
